Diversity & Inclusion

Commitment
We Value Diversity and Inclusion
Our diverse workforce and inclusive work environment respect and fully value our staff’s individual strengths, including their different backgrounds, personalities and thought processes. Diversity and inclusion work best together. Each day, we see how diverse perspectives ultimately yield more creative approaches and tangible outcomes for everyone.

Spotlight on Nightlight Resource Network
Nightlight fosters inclusiveness for shift employees (people who work nontraditional hours) by providing a forum to increase their interaction across New York Fed departments. Nightlight provides members with networking, training and mentoring opportunities, to enhance career growth and professional development. These measures help to attract, retain and support employees as their careers progress. Recently, the Nightlight and FedAbility Resource Networks joined forces to support the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. The “super team” of volunteers assisted athletes at events including track and field, tennis, swimming and bocce—providing a special opportunity to be a part of something bigger together than their individual daily work.
12 Resource Networks

Our employee resource networks provide professional opportunities for staff—across all groups and levels of the organization—to develop leadership skills, shape new initiatives, and facilitate mentoring and networking. They also bring in outside speakers, assist with recruiting diverse candidates, and partner with nonprofit and community groups.
